Nollywood star Empress Njamah has come out to debunk the news going round that she and her former boyfriend and music star, Timaya, have resolved their differences, three years after their bitter break-up.
The two ex-lovers were spotted chatting and exchanging banters at 2Face Idibia’s birthday bash recently. But reacting to the story, Empress said she and Timaya are dunzo as in “they have nothing romantic going on and never again”.
“I and Timaya are not dating again. He saw me at the party and came to exchange pleasantries with me. There is nothing wrong with that. If we are not dating again does not mean that we are worn enemies,” she said.
The two entertainers began dating in 2008, but things got worse in August, 2009, at a church in Festac, Lagos, Timaya was reported to have been beaten by some naval men when he stormed the church with the aim to attack Empress.
He was said to have caused fracas in the church, shouting that Empress should return the key to the car he bought for her. The controversial singer also reportedly called Empress a thief, a situation that led to their permanent separation.
Empress is now reported to be dating a rich man who is spoiling her silly, while Timaya has also moved on with his love life and also welcomed his first child, a baby girl with his girlfriend few months ago.
