FG to Earn N200bn from the Sale of Power Assets

An estimated N200 billion will be realised  from the privatisation of the 18 successor companies created from the unbundling of Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN), Director General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), Ms. Bolanle Onagoruwa, has said.....

Making the disclosure at a management retreat, which held in Abuja, the BPE boss explained that the bulk of the revenue would come at the conclusion of the ongoing power sector reform and privatisation of the generation and distribution companies earmarked for sale.
Onagoruwa also stated that the privatisation of the Olorunsogo power plant would be completed within a month, noting that over N1.2 billion had so far been garnered as privatisation proceeds for 2012.
